Informal probate is the administration of a deceased person’s estate which is supervised by the Probate Registrar.
An uncontested informal probate does not require you to make any appearances in court. Everything can be done through our office via email or through the mail.
An uncontested informal probate requires that all the parties are in agreement that they want the matter to proceed under informal probate and they are in agreement as to who shall be appointed as the Personal Representative (the person who is handling the paperwork for the estate). Also, in most cases there can be no minor persons inheriting.
